Two dressers placed at opposite ends of the island space are connected by a sink cabinet bridge. This is a great way to create a unique, affordable island. This island has space opposite the sink for two stools. Creating functional furniture groupings in kitchens is a specialty of mine. This dish cabinet contains a front loading Asko model 1805 FI (fully integrated) dishwasher and dishes stored in drawers to the right of the dishwasher. Downloading dishes into adjacent drawers eliminates unnecessary steps for dish storage, not to mention eliminating the strain to your body of lifting heavy stacks of plates into upper cabinet shelving. This is an example of ergonomic design principles at work.
